Good afternoon! I just listened to MJ DeMarco's books and I am happy to find this forum. I've been good at solving problems on behalf of others, and now I'm ready to do the same thing for myself. I have a few patents in my name, but I was working at a university at the time. One of my patents just earned a $50,000 royalty payment. Awesome, right? I literally received a paper check for $0.03. The university intellectual property lawyers took $30,000 right off the top. The head of the department got the next biggest chunk, and so on. I was so disgusted and angry, until I realized my own decisions allowed that to happen. Never again!
