Not sure what to do here...

Well, as of right now I am working two jobs and after taxes I make ALMOT $2,300 a month. Now, my girlfriend and I have an extra room that we can rent out to someone for $488 a month not including utilities. The thing is we are kind of up in the air about this.

With both jobs and hers we can more than afford our place on our own and able to do anything we want with the extra $1,000.

If we do get a roommate that extra $1,000 becomes $1,500 extra a month we can do with what we please.

So W/O Roommate: $1,000 to apply towards debt/investing

W/ Roommate: $1,500 to apply towards debt/investing.

What do you all think? My girlfriend and I have gone over the pros and cons and just cant seem to decide. They wouldn't be on the lease of the apartment we are renting but I would have them sign a contract that any damages done by them or their guests they are responsible for.

Suggestions?
