The best thing we can do to remedy this tragic waste of potential is to expose ourselves to challenging projects and environments in our work and life and to focus on the unexpected strengths that will rise to the surface when we do so.

Right mix of Momentum and Money can lead us to Meaning. The 3 M's organically align and combine to enrich our lives as we find the energy to sustain an infinite hustle.

4 key categories of Personal Opportunity Portfolio (POP)
Potential - how we develop greater capabilities
People - how we cultivate community
Projects - how we express creativity
Proof - how we capture credibility

Heart
Outside of a person's love, the most sacred thing that they can give is their labour. Labor is a very precious thing that you have. And any time you can combine labor with love, you've made a merger.

Head
Introduce a daily dose of pain by steeping out of comfort zone daily

Doesn't matter if your batting average is low. Just get at bat more and you WILL get more hits than even the guy with the higher batting average. Nobody cares about quality of baseball player, only quality of hustle matters.

First unseen law of hustle: do something that moves you

Finding out why isn't central to taking a first step. What is central to taking a first step.. is taking a first step. Our why won't ever pop fully formed out of our minds. It emerges over time and maps to our talent and our hustle.

What doesn't appear to change much at all are innate talents, not passions. The catch is, you need to do stuff, stuff that moves you, to really discover those talents. And when you see the product of your talents, it is imperative that you invest in and double down in your strengths rather than wasting time improving your weaknesses.

Second unseen law of hustle: keep your heads up and eyes open

Tap into undercurrents to see and get stuff done faster.

Where most people see fear and pain, hustlers see opportunity.

Recognising opportunity: the hustle sweet spot: Simple to understand, hard to do.

Deadlines are lifelines: focus on volume and completion. To maintain momentum, we need closure.

Third unseen law of hustle: seal the deal and make it real

This law demands a transaction. Demands proof of your hustle. No more talk. Put up or shut up.

Habits create identities, identities don't create habits.

Truth behind Rocky story: nothing to do with 10,000 hours or grinding it out; the hidden truth is in always keeping the wheels turning, because momentum - the wfillful act of doing - is our secret weapon, our equaliser.

Your indirect path: unique and oblique. The fastest, clearest and most legible path isn't always the one that will get you where you actually want to go.

You might not realise in the moment where each step is taking you, but the act of stepping creates opportunities and luck that would not have existed otherwise.

Even those with the grandest vision can get devoured on this pathway due to poor execution, bad luck, and other factors. So persistence is key.

Habits

Things start out as hope and end up as habits.

Enthusiasm is the electricity of life. How do you get it? You act enthusiastic until you make it a habit.

Transition from blue-sky dreaming to hands and feet on the ground doing.

10 minute rule; just DO what you need to do for 10 minutes then evaluate if you want to carry on. More likely than not you will.

Projects are the lifeblood of opportunity for someone like me - darn right I want to express my creativity and fuel my everyday with stimulation, challenge, and learning AND generates income for me.

The secret equation: mediocre + mediocre = amazing. A varied skill set is like a braided rope. The rope is strong even though it may be made up of multiple, sometimes even weak strands. It is the combination of skills, rather than any single skill, that makes you unique and strong.

How do we develop our talents? 4 steps
1. We recognise that neither others Nor we ourselves are particularly good at Recognising our innate talents
2. We do lots of different projects in dynamic and varied environments to force our natural talents to the surface
3. We see through unseen job descriptions; we analyse and track our progress
4. We surface our talents; we invest in our intrinsic strengths and proceed to ignore our weaknesses

To get to 99 percent - where only 1 percent of all humanity is more fulfilled than you - is frighteningly easy when you remember that you aren't racing against a grizzly bear (perfection) but against other humans. Mediocre humans.

If you start experimenting, start telling stories, and start pitching, you will close the gap between what you are and what you will be, and you will do it without massive risk or huge
