Does anyone on this forum have any experience with buying and operating their own oil wells?
I'm working in Alberta, Canada's oil capital as an engineer. In my business I deal with water in the big SAGD plants up north but I also know how to operate a regular well and keep that running.
There's tons of stories going around about people who get their money and buy a few wells here and there that aren't profitable for big oil companies but to the average joe with minimal overhead they make money.
You could own 3-4 wells and make well over $750,000 a year in mostly passive income. I have some mentors who are willing to introduce me people who have been successful in this so I will try my best to partner up with them.
I'm 24 and make a high salary and work half the year. I save a lot of cash every month and even if I lost it all it wouldn't be the end of the world because I still live at home and have zero bills. This seems like a good fast lane plan.
I know this is a relatively high risk game but the rewards are way higher than anything else. So does anyone have experience in this field or knowledge? Thoughts?
