I'm thrilled to be part of this community, and worried about sleep deprivation that comes from many great ideas!
I have my own small business as an administrative consultant. I started the business in 2008 and dabbled for a few years (thanks to kids in diapers), then really committed last fall. This increased focus has brought a 20-fold increase in revenues this year, and that's working roughly two days a week. I'm thrilled with the progress, but feel as if I am at a cross-roads. I know and understand the value of my time, and although I have hired my own assistants, I am still very much working "in" my business, as opposed to working "on" my business. i know that this will quickly lead to burn out for me, and I am fully realizing that I need to make some wise choices about how I "set my sails" moving forward. I LOVE Mr. DeMarco's "no BS" way of laying it out for us, and am about halfway through the book. (I have to keep stopping to jot down ideas!). I'm hoping to find support, inspiration and wisdom from the Fastlane community that will help put me in the Fastlane, too.
