After 4 months on the forum I've turned my intro thread to a progress/ execution/ mindset thread. I want to share my steps taken and lessons learned here with the goal to provide value to other readers

Hi all,
As advised in the email from @MJ DeMarco I want to introduce myself to all of you fully open.
Emiel, 29 years, living in Amsterdam-Oost with my girlfriend (who loves and supports me in everything I do) and her 2 cats.
Love to play football, read non-fiction, and am enjoying life as it is, but always striving for better.
My personal philosophy is: "always play to win".
I left school when I was 19 after 4 studies I hated.
That's when my real study started: self-education.
Started out in sales, and did cold-calling sales for 7 years with a wide variety of products and services.
I sold investment options, commodities, websites, online marketing, an app for restaurants, you name it
For 3 years I started in recruitment and found out I have a real passion in this area for what I do.
Past 8 years I've been self-employed (or zzp we say in Dutch).
In September 2021 I joined a recruitment franchise with the perspective of becoming a full co-owner (franchise giver).
Last Christmas after 1,5 years I found out I don't have real control and the founder and I are not the right fit.
I'm always willing to walk away from something, so that's what I did this January.
Now February 2023 I'm free to scout for the right (Fastlane) opportunity.
I'm all open to suggestions and will read the golden nuggets.
I'm excited to read all your stories and who knows build new great relations.
