I'm in the process of building my own web application. I'll be selling it as a service.
I've got $2695 and a part time job that earns me about $400-500 a month.
The thing is I don't know what I'm going to do in the future. I don't know what to prepare for after I launch my site.
First, I've got to beta test it, and tweak it so it is something that people actually find extremely useful... as in the answer to their prayers.
Then I've got to devise a marketing plan and figure out if I need to hire people to help me market.
Once I launch it I've got to make sure my hosting provider won't freak out with overwhelmed servers once I bombard the internet with ads or w/e.
Then I've got to hire some extremely excellent people to stay by the phone and answer questions. I'm thinking 2-4 taking shifts. 2 in the morning, 2 in the afternoon. That's 4 x's my minimum wage. Maybe I can just create a new google voice number and forward it to my phone and answer calls all day long like that.
I've got to figure out how I'll collect credit card info, record all the info, and process cancellations automatically.
Then I can use the sites revenue to purchase an LLC.
Then Copywrites.
Then I need to handle the accounting.
I'll need to find a good lawyer to defend me if some jackass decides to throw a lawsuit at me.
I'll need to hire someone to help me develop a good brand name.
Any good internet business start-up books I can pick up? I've read MJ's book and I'm going to give it another read because I know it touches one some of these things.
Although I'm not sure if it says what order to go about things, especially on a tight budget like mine.
I'm adding a few of these points to my TO-DO list since this brainstorm was helpful.
Thanks for your responses.
