Hi,
I read TMF 3 months ago and it was an eye opener to me, and has turned me to an observer. I don't just look anymore, i also observe and listen, so that i can grab the opportunity flying.
I'm 19 and will turn 20 in few days time.I graduated from High school at 16 and i want to be an entrepreneur couple with many other things like(Investor, Inventor and possibly an astronaut cos i love the space and cosmos).
Since my graduation i have been learning a lot because i usually mix with people older than me in age, joined forums, consumed every information as possible because i'm hungry for knowledge. I currently have knowledge of web programming language like HTML, CSS, PHP; i have been participating in online design(logo,mock-ups) contest and writing contest(naming, tagline) and i have won ($1000 in 3 years haha! why?). Though, it has contributed a lot to my knowledge about designs and branding. But it seems it is also wasting time or i'm still connecting the dot?
I have also done a little domain flipping.
That being said, i'm need of your advice. I really want to start something that can give me financial freedom and later go in search for knowledge(that's because i will enjoy it by then and because i'm curious about technology, cosmos, universe).
From what i have said, where do you think i can start?
I recently started an online community(forum) for students to share knowledge on power, success, academics, relationship e.t.c but i don't even know how to grow it. I have only planted the seed but i don't know how to water it. I need something that can put me on the fastlane and i'm beginning to see that i need to earn it.
Things that interest me(if i see anything relating to them, i read it!) :
Satellite
Radio Signal
Network
Space
Entrepreneurship(Important)
Creating/Building
Design
Causes
Aeroplanes
Discovery
Music(Would love to own a record label)
Mentors i like:
Richard Branson
Steve Jobs
Leonardo Da'Vinci
Thomas Edison
They are great people and have one thing in common: NO HIGHER EDUCATION/ DEGREE. Keeps me thinking.
Is my environment affecting me???
I'm from Nigeria in West Africa; though it is a corrupt nation with more brainy leaders but yet it has a population of 170 million people and at least 45 million access the internet(facebooking, chatting, gisting, reading celebrity news).
From what i have said, where do you think i can start? or what should be my priority for now?
Please Advise a son
Educate & "Lifecate" me
Sorry for the long post, i can't believe i wrote it.
Thank you.
Daniel
