Through TMF I focused fully on egg production. I identified that there was a great need of affordable protein (eggs) in my community and its environs and which was not being met sufficiently, I'm currently farming hybrid layers and marketing the eggs to local stores near home.
The goal is to scale the business through Intentional Iteration (II) strategy. I started farming with 50 layers in 2020 that produced roughly 40 eggs per day, currently the business has 300 layers and 300 chicks. The layers are producing 11 trays per day, in 4 months the daily egg production should be at 20 trays as this is when the young pullets will start to lay, my five year plan is to farm 5,000 layers that will produce roughly 150 trays per day. Its a fulfilling journey full of ups and downs but its definitely worth it!, thank you MJ for the wisdom.
