I reckon 3d Printing is gonna be big in the next 10-20 years, its already in the news with 3d gun parts and new startups offering custon designed dolls with peoples faces on it. Lets come up with some ideas that we can leverage around 3d printing guys...
I will start with some ideas....
1. Personalised action figures - Action figures with your face on it (imagine your a star treck fan and someone gave you your own star treck doll with your face on it, cool eh??
2. Out of production commercial things - Theres always something plastic that needs replacing in business that is impossible to get because they have stopped making the thing years ago... My example is a filter coffee machine that will be useless soon as the filter holder is on its last legs and we just cannot find a new one.
3. Stamps - 3d Printed stamps to use with ink, i think this is done already but using normal molds or something, but you could have people design their own design and be printed within few days.
4. Car Parts - Cars have millions of small plastic things on it right guys, most of the time if you need something you have to buy the whole big thing as you cannot buy the small plastic thing which is broken.
5. Lego parts - some kind of custom lego replacement parts or something?
