Prospecting customers and Building a business

I just joined the Forum. My background is sales. My first sales job was family portraits for sears, Walmart, and babies r' us. My first Christmas managing a studio at 22 y/o I ended the quarter #1 in the country for sales, and i was just barely above the poverty line lol. All in all I got alot of value out of the number of closes/sales because I learned a whole lot.

Fast forward 4.5 years, I now sell cars for Ford and Lincoln. I am the sole "Lincoln Brand Champion" for my store, and last year I sold 10/11 Focus Electrics in Wisconsin and upper Michigan. I have done well securing the niche markets for my store and now have those leads funneled to me, but I need to find more ways to generate leads.

My wife currently works from home as a seamstress for a local boutique, she sells her own products online, and also does some buying and selling online. We are definitely looking to scale up her business, but thus far the logistics are tricky with me handling the business end while educating myself about a market I am unfamiliar with.

I hope to add some value with my sales techniques while learning some new ones. Provide some INSIDERS knowledge on the automotive industry where I can be of help. And hopefully make some connections that will move mine and my wife's businesses forward.
