Aaron Rodgers is believed to be one of the top 5 QBs of this generation. However, many would have not know this if it were not for his respect for the PROCESS of becoming a NFL quarterback. Not only that, Aaron Rodgers had specific GOALS and kept things in front of him (as MJ states) to remind him of his goals, as his mom mentions (3:00).

I believe this video exhibits PROCESS and a few other important things. During the path of reaching your goals it is inevitable of reaching some sort of disappointment/failure/critic. For Aaron it was scouts DOUBTING whether he would be successful at the Division I and NFL level. This proves that even superstar athletes have HEADWINDS starting from when they are first starting out. Sometimes, I think we fail to see that they are human just like you and me. So, if athletes face HEADWINDS, then we are likely to encounter them.

However, Aaron's FOCUS was on his GOALS and his TAILWINDS/SUPPORT SYSTEM supported his goals. You see in the video that Aaron has a very close relationship with his parents and they believe in him. That ENVIRONMENT most likely cultivated his belief in himself, along with his unwavering CONFIDENCE IN HIMSELF in the midst of CHALLENGES.

For me personally, my family members are nice people but when it comes to talking about my FASTLANE GOALS, I try my best not to speak about it with them because I know they believe in the SLOWLANE. However, they're always chiming in their two cents. SHITS ANNOYING. So, imbibing myself in positive environments/people helps me sustain my vision/belief/goals. This forum is one of the things that helps me! Invaluable!

When faced with these obstacles, some fold and some use it as motivation, understanding that it is part of the PROCESS. Instead of folding because he didn't get to play for his dream college, Aaron WORKED HIS a$$ OFF and remained FOCUSED ON HIS GOALS. Eventually, he got a break and his incredible skill went noticed and eventually become known as who he is today. What if he would have let those disappointments STOP HIM from his GOAL and alter his belief in himself? Would he be a superbowl champ, pro bowler, millionaire, spokesman of a charity, etc.?

Aaron fell in the draft way below what he expected, he didnt get into Florida State as QB, he had face the whole Brett Favre Drama, etc. He let those things fuel him. Not hinder him.

I think that most ironic point is this. Back then, few wanted Aaron Rodgers, now he is high demand (as displayed at the end of the video 10:30) He gets to touch people lives as well through charities and donations. Would that opportunity be open is he would have stopped?

"I kept those doubters on my mind and I've always enjoyed the opportunity of proving those people wrong." Aaron Rodgers
