If i sell someone a 10% stake in my company for 50k and the company owns the other 90% does the company now have 45k in assets? I'm curious as to whether or not I could use that 45k to buy properties, and if I lost the money in a property investment would I own the investor anything other than 10% of the company worth or would I have to pay them the full 50k if that backed out?
