Could use some guidance from some of the stock savvy guys here..
For Christmas I've been given the option to be given $5000 worth of stock combined in questar Corp. Symbol STR and QEP resources. Symbol QEP split half and half or the full $5000 in Motorola Inc. Symbol MOT.
The $5000 is based on the closing price Friday. I have little to no experience with stock and wouldn't know which would be the best for me to choose. From my little looking around it seems the quest stock is the most consistent which I'm not sure if that's great because no movement doesn't generate any profit right? With the Motorola stock the 5 year has taken a tremendous drop in price but it seems like it has been steadily gaining and I'm wondering with the potential announcement that motorla will be doing the I-phone I'm going to see big gains with that? Any advice or insight would be much appreciated as I'm a little lost.
