I debated with myself about posting this but I am sure someone on the forum can help me.

Last January I switched payroll companies from Suntrust's in house vendor to Quickbooks assisted payroll mostly because of a recommendation by an adviser.

The product itself is pretty good but....the customer service is unbelievably horrible for a product this well known and used.

There have been many similar situations I could mention but would like to share one that happened today. Today is 1/17 and I had plans on giving my employees w-2s Friday with their paychecks. I know Quickbooks well enough to access the report in payroll to retrieve them but I kept getting an error message because they erroneously selected to mail w2s to my employees themselves when my profile specifically says "SELF PRINT" for several good reasons.

So what did I do? I called customer service and like many times before the automated system says my wait will be a ridiculous 30 minutes. I put the phone on speaker and worked on 1099s. 30 minutes later still elevator music, 45 minutes, 50 minutes at 1 hour and 10 minutes I decided I had had enough . And I have.

How in the Hell does Intuit plan to stay around with such awful customer service? Especially being a B2B setup.

I have started looking at a few others like LessAccounting but want the transition to be as painless as possible. But I am definitely out within the next week or so.

If you have had a good experience with accounting/payroll services for small business, please let me know which. Even if it's just the payroll portion I just need it to be able to interface well with Quickbooks. Thanks in advance
