Ugh.. issed:
I just had to let this out, it may be in the wrong section. But basically... Never try to argue with someone who thinks "Rich people are all unhappy", "Money doesn't buy happiness", or overall "Slow-Laners".
Reasons:
1) You will never win. They are already brainwashed from childhood, so it is HIGHLY unlikely you will change their state of mind. :smx4:
2) Attempts to get them to see your point of view is a waste of time and energy as well. :smx4:
3) "Money doesn't buy you happiness" = crap. The word happiness is defined by every single person differently. Happiness to some means relationships, to some means material things, to some means the ability to act without limits, to some means helping your family's life easier, etc. So to say "money doesn't buy you happiness" would be an ignorant statement because you are simply and only applying that happiness to everyone means relationships and nothing else. So if money doesn't buy you any kind of happiness, and I offer you free $100,000. You should turn it down. I mean WHY and what reasons would you have to take it if money doesn't buy you happienss.
4) "All rich people are unhappy" = crap. Yes, there are rich people that are unhappy, but there are unhappy people in all economic classes. I hate brainwashed people who watch TV and see celebrities life crashes and assume every rich person has no social skills, lonely, and unhappy. That is so not true. Alot of rich people acquire their wealth by hard work (entrepreneurs, etc.) and are very well rounded people. They are rich because it is a result of using their skills and finding a fast lane way to make it work for lots of people. So proportionately, there is the same percentage of unhappy people in the high class as there would be in middle class. There are different problems that affect happiness in each class, but the problem that arise from having loads of money isn't nearly as big of a problem to someone trying to satisfy their most basic needs of shelter, food, and sex.
Sorry, just had to rant because you will never win. It just gives you high blood pressure from thinking that you are trying to help them, but ignorantly they stand their ground. But when behind closed doors, complain about no vacations, complain about living paycheck to paycheck, complain about wishing to have more money, or talk about "what I would do if I won the lottery". LOL..
Thanks for reading,
James F
