For some reason my reading of Rockefeller's bio from a few years ago came back to me last week. One of his techniques for success was to control or own each step of his products process. If I were to take this approach, the realms I have to control are:
raw materials-farms
production- Amish Kitchens
frieght- materials to production, production to my warehouse, warehouse to consumer
Distribution- currently own
promotion- web or otherwise
printing- labels
glass factory- jars
etc.
Under that mindset, I am currently in negotiations to acquire a niche magazine where the niche is very receptive to our project. I will keep you all updated on how this strategy works out.
