I stumbled upon another scam artist in other thread on TFLF, and considering that we have a lot of questions regarding seminars, courses, coaching, and other kinds of this stuff, here's my take on all of it.
If you want to make sure that what you plan to attend is legit - examine it with this kind of vision in mind:
No good business seminar, course, coaching program or business consulting costs less than $4-5k.
If all you have is 500 bucks saved on pizza and heineken - forget about business education. Kids save more to buy a guitar and an amp to play Nirvana.
I'll repeat.
Kids save more to buy a guitar and an amp to play Nirvana.
In their room, which nobody but their parents will ever hear.
Want to do business? Leave 9-5 and forget that you've ever been an average man/woman living average life?
Useless third-rate college education in US costs $10k/year, which will allow you to work 9-5 in a third-rate facility for a minimal wage.
What did you expect to get for such numbers?
Want to play in a mid-6 league?
Prepare $50-100k for a personal tutoring with someone who already makes 7 figures, who you will need to find first. And not many will even agree to teach you, because it's just not cost-effective.
People have their lifes which they want to get back to after work. We value our time much more than money, even more we value opportunity to do things.
Re-read this.
We value our time a lot more than money, we value opportunity to do things even more.
Do you consider yourself throwing cash on table an opportunity for a good mentor?
If yes, re-read the above, because you haven't understood shit.
And in case you are dumb: $50-100k is not an opportunity for someone who makes 7 figures. People who make 7 figures value their time, and the reason why they don't make 8 figures is that they have not enough of it. To execute new ideas and refine already existing projects. Will your offer allow them to have more free time?
If you're not sure you can answer this question positively - you won't get a mentor to teach you. You have no value for him to do so.
Yes, it means that during your mentorship you have to work on your mentor's project. You will work your a$$ off dealing with things you've never dealt with before. You'll do these things so often that you'll vomit. Because this is how you get real experience.
And you won't get paid for it. Meanwhile you won't have enough time to run your own business.
Here's my quote from other thread:
If you see a person offering any kind of business training, claiming they made millions either for themself or for others, and you find them from ads, targeted at you because you have a browser history of searching for "make money" and similar kinds of stuff - it's a scam artist.
If you open their website and it's done cheap, but looks like effort has been put into it - it's a scam artist. People with money created their wealth because they know how to do things good, they know people who do things good, they are willing to pay for quality things.
If you hear a person talking at 10-words-a-second rate - it's a scam artist. People who others listen to - speak slowly and confidently. It's something you cannot fake, because it takes years to form this kind of manner and be congruent with it.
If you see a person in front of a whiteboard in a suit, explaining something for 20 minutes, full of emotions, talking about multiple things - it's a scam artist. It's the cheapest possible image which no successful person can have. It's the most ineffective way one can talk. This is how needy people look, not how valuable people do.
Remember one thing:
Information costs money. Business-related information costs even more.
Is this truth too hard to swallow? You either take it, or you choke on it. Choice is yours.

Here's my quote from other thread:
"If you look carefully at people who coach, it's their best source of income. Nobody does it just to make additional cash - coaching is always a step back for someone who has a serious, full-scale business.
If my primary source of income would be fully passive and delegated - I would prefer traveling, spending time with my friends and family and enjoy life doing hundreds of things I love doing, not coaching random people.
Unless we have an audience of 50+ people at our workshops/seminars/training programs - we don't make enough money to consider it a good replacement for a business unrelated to coaching.
Real coaching that is offered by real-deal people costs dozens of thousands of dollars for a single session. Those who make millions will charge more.
People who make really big money and run successful projects generally don't care about making even more money, you won't find them offering coaching programs."
