Hey everyone,
My brother and I are currently building Yogidays—a yoga studio management platform that we believe can bring huge value to instructors by offering simplicity, transparency, and ease of use. We’re both experienced software engineers, and we’ve practically finished development. You can check out our landing page here: Yogidays.ie.
The biggest challenge we’re facing right now is building a user list. Neither of us is deeply embedded in the yoga niche, and we’re starting to realize that might be a bit of a blind spot. While we’re confident in the product, finding the right audience and getting their attention has been tough. I have created a number of posts on Instagram that resulted in a few sign ups to a waitlist but nothing major.
I’ve done some cold emailing to yoga schools, which led to a few hits on the landing page (tracked using Clarity), but only one response so far. That person said they might be interested once the platform is more mature, but no other substantial leads have come from it.
I genuinely believe we can provide tremendous value to the yoga community in Ireland. Platforms like Mindbody are burdening users with constant upsells, slow support, and long 12-month contracts. We know we can offer something better—simpler, more transparent, and with a focus on real support. That said, we understand the challenge of convincing instructors to switch from one platform to another.
Ideally, I’d love to partner with a yoga teacher trainer here in Ireland. I think it could be an incredible fit, but I also recognise that it’s a tough sell from their perspective. Convincing them to take a chance on a newer platform can be challenging, but the potential for synergy is huge.
I’d love to get advice from anyone who’s faced similar challenges in a niche they’re not deeply embedded in. Are we missing something by not being part of the yoga world ourselves? Is it worth doubling down on this niche or should we consider pivoting toward a broader market like scheduling tools? All advice is greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
Paul
