Currently I make a living providing writing/editing services across various freelance sites. The money pays the bills, but not much more. I know there is a demand for what I provide, that I am one of the best in my field, and I am happy with my marketing options, however I do have a question.
When launching my own separate website, is it best to position or brand myself as an individual - freelancer, or a business?
My view is that a freelancer would perhaps attract the bigger magazines and websites, but might turn smaller (bread and butter) customers away. I don't however want cheap, cheap customers who want more for less.
Does anybody have a view on this? I have very little experience in business aside from reading MJ and a few others' books, but I am doing what I am good at; just need to figure this out.
