At one point my bodyweight was 110kg and it was not just muscle. I was a fat kid. No girlfriend, some low life friends and no direction in life.
What changed? I could say it was Tony Robbins - awakin the giant within. I read the book and I did the thing that is probably most important: action.
I had no idea what good nutrition was. I started to read about it. I had no idea what it meant to excersise the right way. So I started to read about it. I had no idea how to be attractive for women. I started to read about it. Reflecting back, it was not just the reading. It was taking the knowledge, use it in real life and reflect back on what went wrong. Doing it better next time was the key. Doing was key. Reading about it was an important part of getting myself to 80kg with a hot girlfriend, but the other part was taking action. You can learn as you go, but the progress will be a lot slower and the process will be too.
For everything you want to do, somebody already did it.
I got trapped into reading. The self help industry is a big money maker and I got trapped in it as a consumer. There was no more real action. Book after book, but no real life changes. Still the same old me doing the things I always been doing.
I read so much but once in a while, you get to read a book that changes your life completely.
The fastlane miljonair was one of those books.
The thing I took out of it, was process vs event and producer vs consumer. That is the most important part for me in the book at this point in my life.
Just like people now look at me and my girlfriend and say: 'Lucky motherfcker, how did he do that? he must be rich!' Just like people look at my body and say: 'Lucky motherfcker, if only I had those genes...' or even worse, whenever I buy myself an icecream 'see, you dont need to eat healthy to look good!' I now understand how I can set up a process that give me the chance to hit a big event: Freedom. Total freedom. Abundance of money. Freedom from a 9 till 5 job. Freedom from working 5 days a week, having to work 49 weeks for 3 weeks vacation. Being able to see my kids grow up. Being able to show people the way. That it's possible.
The process for me is learning to code. Why? I have no idea. I have no big idea for a website. I have no idea what needs I am going to fulfill. What I do know is event versus process. Learn coding now and an big event might come up: An idea. An need to be fullfilled. Something that can be done better.
The process for me is learn how to write. Why? Again. No idea. No need.
I just want to start the process of working, of developing and creating. Being able to create something for others must be one hell of a feeling. I already feel it whenever I give somebody tips about how to train and or eat. I already feel it whenever I tell a 17 year old boy that he can get that girl he wants...
I realised: Doing something always leads to something, while doing nothing always leads to nothing.
Thanks for this shift in mindset. You know who you are.
