I launched a new product earlier this week on Amazon. I've had a website active for it for several months, and have done almost zero promotion for it, so I was surprised when I saw an order this morning.
Then I checked the customer...
The customer is an employee for Shopify and having the product shipped directly to one of their offices?
The guy is a production engineer lead for them.
I know Shopify promotes some of the shops that use their platform, but I also know that their employees are obviously involved in importing and ecommerce themselves.
I'm not sure if someone is wanting to try to rip off my product, or if they occasionally order products from stores that use their platform so they can find stores to promote, or if it's just an employee there who happened to want my product.
Has anyone experienced this before?
