Sometimes you read something and it has a direct, instant impact on you.

It's like when you hear a certain song for the first time and you feel the hairs stand up on the back of your neck and you start rubbing your arms as you have goose bumps.

You know, that strange connection that creates that epiphany, a moment of clarity, a true wake-up call?

We can get them from all sorts of sources and sometimes they are intentional and sometimes they're accidental. Maybe a paragraph of a book we are reading when we make a mental leap and a piece of the jigsaw finally fits. Or it might be something someone says in casual conversation that, when taken in a totally different context, had a much greater meaning for you. It could be written on a bill board, a piece of graffiti or a meme.

The following had an impact on me. If you have one please share.

"Life is not happening to you. Life is responding to you"

" I dont have to be right "

It was @jon.a that said it to me on this forum.

It really impacted me and changed how I act. Sometimes it's best to just let things go.

.

"Tough Times Never Last but Tough People Do!"

It's actually the title of a book written by Robert H. Schuller. I'm going through hell right now. Rereading this book, even just the title itself, really helps me at the moment.

I was on a short flight once and wrote down over 100 one-liners that resonate and guide me. I think my hobby is collecting one-liners. I don’t know where to begin narrowing it down to the one that’s had the most impact.

Here’s a few that might help people:

“What if you already know enough?” (Craig Desorcey)

“Money is proof you helped your fellow man.” (MJ)

“The most important formula in business is R+R=Profit.” (Blaise Brosnan)

“It’s a journey, and it doesn’t happen overnight.” (Blaise Brosnan)

“Sales is a screening process.” (Blaise Brosnan)

“Help the people in motion.” (Amy Hoy)

Each of these was an aha moment.

I’ve so many I could go for an hour or more...

Ok. Here’s one top of mind at the moment:

“F*ck why. It only holds you back.” (Craig Desorcey)

Context: I want to focus my business on specific verticals. I’ve wanted to do so for a while and was wondering why that hasn’t happened already. I’ve just caught myself and decided to just make changes necessary to make it happen and not waste time wondering why.

Actually I don't know if it is the right place to post it, but here is something told me and I wasn't aware. It is actually about Harry Potter and the first movie.
This one phrase made me wondering about my all life.
"Do you know why they crash in the wall in the train station? It's only because if you don't take a wall, you can't access the wizard world. It's the same in life"

It sounds really important for me because it's like building my dream.

Guys there is some great stuff here. Very thought provoking. Keep them coming.

@MILIANARD134 It's funny that even when reading a book of fiction our entrepreneurial mind is still ticking away in the subconscious looking for patterns and connections that only exist because we have honed it to think in a way that most people would consider alien.

I even find myself taking notes while reading fiction. I re-read David Eddings series The Belgariad and The Malloreon recently.

I couldn't help but note down:

"The thought becomes the word. The word becomes the deed."

“Big things were made up of little things”

Very poignant to me and familiar to every successful entrepreneur as it is the fundamental building blocks of how we start and build a successful business.

“Don't wish it was easier wish you were better." Jim Rohn
Though not a one liner, it is a great truth,"I have been given eyes to see and a mind to think and now I know a great secret of life for I perceive, at last, that all my problems, discouragements, and heartaches are, in truth, great opportunities in disguise. I will no longer be fooled by the garments they wear for mine eyes are open. I will look beyond the cloth and I will not be deceived." Og Mandino
“the truth will set you free”
Seek the truth.

@The Abundant Man that sure was abundant but what one single quote has impacted your life the most?

What most resonated with you? Stopped you in your tracks and gave you that aha, or holy shit! moment?

If you can't feed yourself...off yourself

"Health, family, career. Without good health, you can't take care of your family, without family, you can't have a career." ...paraphrased big time. But, it still resonates with me.
I thought it was Emerson that said it but I couldn't find it anywhere online.
