I run an online shop selling Kratom, primarily in Europe, where Kratom is legal but exists in a somewhat gray area regarding regulations.
While I’ve seen some success and have reached 2k/month in revenue, I’m struggling with scaling my business.
My main issue is the limitations on advertising platforms like Google Ads, TikTok, and Meta Ads.
These platforms either restrict or partially limit my ability to reach new customers, and relying on ads to drive traffic isn’t a viable solution anymore.
Although I do get some referrals occasionally, it’s becoming increasingly difficult to grow my customer base without effective advertising.
I’ve been focusing mainly on existing Kratom users, as I believe this market already exists and is receptive to the product.
To work around the advertising restrictions, I’ve had some success with educational content on Meta, using blog-style posts with small links to redirect traffic to my website.
However, I’m at a crossroads. Scaling seems challenging, and I’m wondering if it’s time to pivot or double down on finding new ways to grow within the constraints of current advertising policies.
What strategies have you found effective in scaling a business like mine without relying on paid ads? Should I focus more on community building or perhaps diversify into other areas? Any advice or insights would be greatly appreciated.
