Hi!
I have done a similar thing when I had to practice my drivers. Instead of going to a school again, I posted an ad online and offered $20/hour to anyone willing to teach me how to drive. I also offered another $20 (I think) for their car to do test. This would have been way cheaper than enrolling in drivers school.
Now, I want to do the same if I ever have to sell product or offer services. Instead of filling a page of details, I just want to make a video on the first page or somewhere on the website. This way, there is some familiarity. I have a slight accent on videos and am a bit of a monotoned person. I also look horrible in front of the camera.
My solution is to hold up auditions and get people to recite the lines with enthusiasm and give them details. Our services are genuine, and testimonials are there. All I need is a greeter to greet, introduce the idea, tell them to check around, and so forth. I was planning on hiring someone in the future for $20/hour based on auditions, and then have a video on our site.
What do you think? Is video even a good idea, or should a clean layout with some articles be a better idea?
