Years ago I lived in Boston and there was a great tech community there. I would register with Meetup and often go to these meetings and network with other tech entrepreneurs. The energy and networking were great.
I then moved to South Florida to get away from it all and have been living here for 2 years.
I'm bored with Sofla now and thinking of moving. Its not a good place for business, there's no tech community here. It's mostly vacation and partying here, no business. I feel like I'm wasting my time here.
So I'm thinking of moving again and being back to a business city in the tech world.
In the past year I've created and developed a website that I think has broad appeal and if I make smart decisions think I could build into a large successful business.
My goal is to continue building it up to a large level and then finding a large tech company to buy it from me.
I'm wondering if living in a big tech city i.e., San Francisco, Boston, New York would be a very smart thing to do, or if it doesn't really matter where you live.
These cities are very expensive and I'd be back to being on a tight budget in order to follow my dream of getting my business rocking and sold.
But then again living in a business city I'd be networking with smart people who can help me grow and get my business in front of the big boys who may be interested in investing in it and buying it.
