Hello, I love making videos on YouTube and I'm getting a bit of traction (but not much so far). I've got limited time considering I'm still in school but I try to make the most out of it by making videos and educating myself on money and my passion for film. When I am older, I want to be able to direct big movies and tell fantastic stories that the world has never seen before. Parent's want me to go to university so I'll be able to get a "secure" Job. By applying MJ DeMarco's CENT's principle, I've found a flaw in my plan to buy time from my YouTube videos.
Control (Can make videos and have somewhat power over earning potential)
Entry (Every man and his dog has a YouTube channel, few are in it for the process from my experiences, but this is a flaw)
Need (Very little need for YouTube videos unless they are in the Health, Wealth, or Relationships niche)
Time (The advantage of YouTube is you can make money from videos years after they were posted)
Scale (Very scalable)
I don't want to give up on making videos because when I start something, I don't stop until I succeed at whatever I'm doing, but I also want a way to make substantial income and set myself up for future success as a director. One Idea I had was to do freelance film-making for high-ticket industries like medical, but that lacks scale. I would love some Ideas that meet the CENTS commandments. Please keep ideas under $20,000 because I'm 16 and I only have $20,000 from a lot of saving and some day trading i do on the side. Thankyou MJ for the fantastic book and please suggest some Ideas. <3
