I have done lots of searching but can't find an answer on my particular predicament. I have a few S corporations that I run out of my house. My primary car is on its last legs, and I am looking to buy a new one. I am sitting on a good amount of cash at the moment so I can either, write a check for the car, finance any portion of it at 2.9%, lease it. I could do this personally or under one of my S corps.
I tend to drive cars till the wheels fall off, but I only drive 7,000 to 8,000 miles a year, about 25% of that business related. Leasing does NOT seem to make sense.
Any thoughts on which way to go (personal or business) and (buy/finance/lease)?
