Hello all, I am starting this thread to document the process in which I can learn "Fastlane" style. After reading numorus threads on here from Ecom Man, Walter Hay, and Ice Cream Kid as some of my favorites, I decided to take action. My goal is to start with ecommerce, and branch out from there. Step taken so far include:
1. Set up new email, ebay, paypal.
2. Registered a domain name
3. Signed up for free web hosting with nonjobhost.
4. Found a product not being sold sold on amazon or ebay, contacted manufacturer. Waiting on reply, picked a good time to start during chinese new years. They replied back when they would get a quote back to me.
5. Emailed Dhl for rough shipping quote for sample product.
6. Continuing to look for more products, and ideas for service oriented businesses.
That's all I have so far, I have came up with two business ideas so far, one is a twist on a service already offered, and the other is a idea for something that could be a franchise down the road. Once the hosting is setup wordpress will be installed so I can understand it and play around a bit. This is all quite new and a big step for me personally, no experiance is those fields but I figure taking action is better than waiting. Thanks for reading, any advice or ideas I'm open to listening.
