I've read so many self-help/financial management/investing/get rich slow books that I could puke. I actually threw one across the reading area of B&N when it got to the part about "not buying latte's anymore".
I'm completely self-taught and self-made, professionally, but still in the slow lane. I learned everything I needed to learn by myself (IT & Web Dev), and was earning 3x what my college-grad friends made, but still in a "job" and slowlane. Tired of kissing a$$, only to be laid off by those much dumber than me.

- The slamming a certain person who spews financial lessons written in dung. Her name rhymes with "floozy". Additionally, her voice annoys the crap out of me.
- The shotgun blast to the ethos of the "college dream". I left college early. Always felt bad about it somehow, despite confirmation that I myself was an example of "breaking the mold". Not anymore.
- The kicking to the curb of the ideas of a certain Hawaiian guy who talks about wealthy and poor father figures.
- The general confirmation of all my thought nuggets about business, that I never allowed myself to articulate due to the slow-lane noise in my head. You're the only one who dotted those i's for me.
