So where to start?
Recently I've read a bunch of execution threads and found them really valuable, so I decided to start mine with the hope that it would be as useful as I read. And for pieces of advice, and for a little bit of motivation. I really hate to fail if I announce something, so until now I would rather not share my goals than fail them publicly.
The idea:
I have a very complex idea in my mind with the end goal of some kind of marketplace in a specific type of service that requires phisical presence. However I find it too complex to start with and it I think it would require much more resources than I currently have or will have in the near future without a business, so I narrowed down the scope and want to start with a price comparison site at first.
Why price comparison?
As for this year my goal is to start a CENTS-compatible business I had an inner deadline of the end of January to come up with a suitable idea. This idea of mine is ca. 2 years old even started something but quit (halted 😀 ). So I spent January to find out something better, but still, this is my best, so I'll stick to that.
That means I've found it CENTS compatible and made a soft proof, even though I feel it is very "soft".
CENTS check:
I have a PPC model in my mind. I think that is the easiest way to convince businesses to register that they will really need to pay for actual visitors directed to their website.
And maybe an additional subscription model for valuable data like frequent searches by area.
So what are the next steps?
My next goal is to have an MVP in 2 months.
I am a software developer, mainly with backend experience, but in recent years I tried to learn frontend as well, so I should be able to implement it. I want to use as AI magic as possible, but this is more complex to be fully handled by AI. (even the MVP) or I just haven't find the right tool.
The most scary part of the MVP is the design, I am terrible at that and I don't want to spend time now learning it, so I decided to handle it to the code generators which should be enough for MVP.
I have a list of functionalities for the MVP:
Other steps needed
If I have the MVP I've done with the easier part I think. The harder part will be to acquire customers and get traffic on the site. I don't have a solid plan for this, so will update on that later.
uhh, it got very long....
Thank you for reading it so far 😀 And what do you think about it?
My plan is to update here when I achieve something meaningful or struggle with something at least once per week. ooor something, let's see, I really don't have a plan for this 😀

Why price comparison?
- I have a kind of strange obsession with price comparison services, maybe it is in relation to my frugal mindset 😀
- I even started such a business, but I needed to relocate multiple times, so it doesn't grow. And such a business is limited to a specific area. And because of the area limitation, there are many of these businesses, and when there are many gold miners don't join them but sell them shovels.
- I had another price comparison service idea years ago that I haven't acted on and someday I saw it implemented on the local Shark Tank and the guys got investment. And two years ago even the government implemented such a service 😀 (ofc they were in a much better position as the most difficult part was solved by a new regulation...)

CENTS check:
- C - I will develop most part of it and manage hosting and I just need internet
- E - It requires unique software solutions to start and that is the easier part of it, so I think it has a higher barrier
- N - I know, this is the most important, this is the part where I am the less confident. According to google trends, there is a growing need for this type of services and I see newer and newer price comparison services start from year-to-year, so I think it should be enough, but let the MVP decide it
- T - absolutely, if it's working it doesn't require much effort I guess or it could be delegated.
- S - I want to start with a specific niche in a specific area, but it could easily be scaled to more categories and for more locations with the same system.

- Landing page with search functionality
- Search result page with a map integration and price comparison list and optionally filters.
- visitor redirection counts
- Admin page for businesses to manage their stuff
- Admin page for me for analytics and for operations.
