Hi Everyone
I have just joined the forum after hearing about it on E On Fire. I'm hoping to get some advice and give some in return. Just briefly im 23 years old from the UK, I have started numerous businesses since the age of 14 but I'm still waiting to find my big ideas or that one business that i can build into something big.
I just wanted to get some feedback on an idea. I'm in the process of starting a Branding & Signage business, the branding side me and my team have experience of but the signage side we have been learning the last few months. As you would imagine the equipment is quite expensive and im going to finance it with cash and lease leaving me with cash flow to last around 10 months if we did no business at all.
My idea is this - should I buy all the equipment and then go out finding work by going door to door and attending networking events ? whilst running at a loss for the first few months, Or should I go door to door and go to networking events advertising my business and any work I get for signage outsource to a business I know of who are very good ?. My thinking is that subcontracting the work for the first 6-12 months and just making a small percentage will allow me to concentrate on finding business and building a client base before I buy all the equipment myself.
What do you think ? And what would be your concerns
