Hey everyone,
I'm on business #4. The first one stuck around, but it is a non-profit (a hybrid-style private religious school), so I don't have a "liquidation event" in my future. The second one (apartment syndication) failed because I couldn't get on the same page with my business partners. The third one was a great idea, but others were executing far better than I cared to, so I scrapped it. I've been on my current business for about a year, making slow but steady progress. In the past few months (and especially during the quarantine), I have really ramped things up and put myself in a better position to scale the business. Up until recently, I had been a "solo-preneur," doing all the time-consuming tasks.
But lately I have been learning and implementing systems that automate many of the mundane, "factory-line" tasks so that I can focus my energy on things that will leverage the business. I came here to learn and add value wherever I can. My "technical" expertise is as a real estate attorney (I am quitting that 9-5 in two months, btw). I'm also here to learn and help with shifting my thinking towards unSCRIPTion.
