Hi everyone!
My name is Mike, I'm 18 years old and I've been lurking around this forum for a loong time.
It's really the best online community I have ever seen. There has been a major shift in my mindset
last few months thanks to you guys. I realised it was stupid of me just to wander around and not
even introduce myself.
So here's my life story so far: (Tl;Dr at the end)
Phase 1 : Extremely ambitious kid.
I knew I wanted something more from life since I read RDPD when I was around 12.
That was the first major change in my thinking. Naturally I was sharing my new knowledge,
mostly with my (slowlane) parents. I thought they would be happy that their son has different
thinking than others. But instead, they made fun of the book, which obviously pissed me off.
I kept reading other books by Kiyosaki and learning from him. I especially liked the idea of
buying houses without cash and selling them for profit. I knew I wanted to do those things.
I just didn't have any blueprint, plus my parents kept trying to set me back to normal thinking.
Phase 2 : This is it!
I found a free blueprint! I met this random guy who told me about a new awesome business
opportunity where I could earn thousands of dollars in as little as one year.
I went to their 'open meeting', and it was exactly what I was looking for. I mean, there
were people who read RDPD, they shared the same thinking, and even gave me the exact steps
to succeed! Don't you dare to do it your way, just follow those steps and you will be rich!
Luckily, I found TMF and this forum soon enough. I already gave some hard earned cash
of my parents to the MLM guy, but it could have ended up worse.
(I didn't make a single dollar, plus I almost ruined a few friendships. That stuff they tell on
the seminars is really powerful, it even convinced my parents to give it a try.)
Thanks to this forum, I realised that being a part of a MLM wasn't the real entrepreneurship.
Phase 3 : Wantrepreneur to the max
Last few years I have been the perfect example of a wantrepreneur, talking and thinking about
how awesome my future is going to be, mentally masturbating over luxury photos etc.
I planned that when I turn 18, I will already be on top of things, just enjoying life and buying
everything I want. But I never did anything to achieve that.
Today
And here I am today, fed up with my life so far. And I'm already taking steps to build something
of value. I know what my final goals are. I just don't bring them up so often, they are in the back
of my head. All I focus on now are small goals to take me at least a little forward.
I know I still have a ton of things to learn, but I thought I would share my progress so far.
I would especially like to thank to @IceCreamKid and @GrumpyCat, without
your awesome posts I would never be where I am now.
I'm extremely happy to officialy be a part of this incredible community.
Thank you!
TL;DR
Wanted more from life sice I read RDPD at 12 y-o. Joined an MLM
and wasted 2 years and hard earned cash there. Luckily found
this forum and ran away from that MLM crap. Been a wantrepreneur
for another 2 years. Fast-forward to today, fed up, finally taking steps.
