The only tactic I know for getting initial fans involves SEO. My first profitable website was built on the shoulders of a website I got to rank high. I didn't plan for SEO this time, I was sure there'd be other ways. Are there?
There is a HUGE difference between tactics you use when you have fans and tactics you use when you're unknown.

-Write Epic Shit
-Get somebody else with a following to talk about you

Assume you've already created a killer product and have great content. You're working on SEO and getting somebody 'popular' to use/talk about you. What else can you do?
- I was able to bring a small time youtuber's fanbase up more than 2000%, from 300 subscribers to 60K subscribers
- I've worked with a team to generate buzz and excitement to Showtimes' Dexter. The campaign included an ARG that started with a comicon expo. FILLED with other
- I've worked to spread excitement over a release of a new phone. A new car. A new brand of potato chip. A new shoe
