I've been diligently researching products in the past month and have ordered a few samples from a few different suppliers on Alibaba and believe I have found a good product and a decent niche. However, I would like to play the long game and create a brand around this niche and products I can source and develop in that niche. I have a few thousand dollars in startup capital (spending about 1k$~ on my first shipment of 400 products assuming everything checks out), so at this point, I'm wondering if it's better to go Amazon FBA or go on my own way with Shopify? I'm seeing that Amazon FBA would be a lot easier in the beginning, but FBA in the long run is volatile and violating the control commandment of CENTS. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.
