Is there a way to pull info on certain (niche) businesses off the web (i.e. address, phone number, hours of operation, etc.) to compile into a comprehensive directory? Or must each listing be entered individually, by hand? I'm also looking for a specific geographic area.
I'm in the process of starting an online directory in a niche market, I will be focusing first on Las Vegas area an eventually expanding nationally. The idea is to connect customers with the right fit in this niche depending on their needs - I will allow businesses to claim theirs for a fee, update, etc. and allow customers to rate businesses, etc.
I'm using a WP theme, hosted on bluehost. Are there any plugins or anything available that will help me pull info on websites and businesses?
