So I have been thinking of ideas for some time now, and I have one I am much more confident about than any of the others. I would like to use this thread for input and help from this vast source of knowledge.
The basic premise is that I would like to sell some knowledge I have experience with through my current job. I know this knowledge is out there and available, however I would like the make the effort to compile it, and turn it into an easier to understand format, in a one stop shop location. The process will be gaining more knowledge, compiling it, as well as starting a website to be the delivery vehicle for this information. I know how I am going to go about gathering the knowledge, but the business side is more unclear to me.
My initial thought is that I would make sets of videos covering each topic outlining the information in an easy to comprehend format for viewers. The business part of it will be building a website and learning how to sell the videos.
I'm thinking I should sell each set of videos for a reasonable price, and build up a customer base. I know there is huge demand for this knowledge, but it hasn't been compiled effectively in my opinion. I am going to look into this more to confirm. I plan on starting on one category, and expanding into others as I get input from website traffic. I can put a poll of sorts to help determine the amount of interest in future video topics from the traffic I receive from the initial sets.
I don't have any experience building or running a website, so I would like to turn to you guys for help and input about this and more.
I will be doing research on what type of corporation I should start. Any suggestions would be fantastic.
I'm planning on hiring out the technical side for the website, because it will get me up and running much faster. I would like to learn basics however.
