So I sign my first contract on Upwork (yay!) and I get a notification.
I need to submit my About ID (Government ID)
I realized that I'm under 18.
I open a new tab, type my query frantically, and open the first result.
"You're not allowed to use Upwork until you're 18"
I guess I'll have to wait 2 years until I get an actual government ID.
By the way, I will be using LinkedIn and social media to build up my freelance reputation and clients. I don't know if fiverr throws the same BS at you (It doesn't)
This post should be seen by everyone who is under 18. We all know how hard it is to land your first client on Upwork, and trust me, you don't want an opportunity to be snatched away from you.
