I feel like I have been asking a lot of the forum lately and not contributing as much so I'd like to a give a little back at the moment.
I have had conversations and noticed lately that many people are chasing the carrot. What I mean by this is that if someone sees a post with easy real estate tricks, they flock to it, but then the next week when someone posts about trading stocks, they drop real estate and run to stocks! Then the next week when someone will post about internet marketing and people will drop their stocks and chase after that.
The people who post this information for all of us to use are very knowledgeable in their field. For example which JonLeeHacker posts about Internet Marketing, he FOCUSES on internet marketing. When SteveO posts about apartment buildings, he FOCUSES on apartment buildings. The reason they are successful in that market is not because they just picked it up yesterday and got lucky. They have worked at it and worked at it to become experts in their field. And don't get me wrong, I love information, I'm just as bad as the next. But one of the things I have learned recently is to be sure to focus on my plan. I know on a personal level there have been times that while chasing different money making "schemes" (programs, or info would be a better term because they certainly aren't schemes), I let sufficient time go by to grow my businesses.
So if I could give advice to anyone here, please figure out your plan, and stick to it. If your goal is to learn real estate, learn real estate. If your goal is to learn business, or internet marketing, or trading, or whatever; Stick to the plan!
