We all have brain farts from time to time and we all think differently. I just happened to see the post that @Spazz made on wanting some help.

I think he got some great advice which is encouraging, because I think (in one form or another) we have all been there. Some people are just lazy and want the emotional satisfaction of "feeling" like they are doing something by asking others to "tell" them what to do, while others really just don't have the thinking triggers to get the ball rolling.

That doesn't mean the latter is bound for failure, they just need more hand holding than others.. nothing wrong with that in my opinion, besides we can see if lazy patterns form over time. The last thing the latter needs is the "find the hidden gem, it is right in from of you grasshopper" bullshit.

With that being said, forgive me if this was already suggested.. Flippa is a great place to get ideas from. Browsing the sold established websites (and at the prices they were sold for) gives a pretty good idea on the potential of success of that niche.

Also copying and idea and adding value where the previous owner didn't give you even better odds. if you happen to have a skill set in design even better. I've noticed that when websites are up for sale, some of the questions regarding the site will shed some light on improvements or bells and whistles to incorporate.

A buddy of mine actually had a good run of creating sites for sale on flippa. Finding a good niche, designing a site with targeted keywords and outsourcing a few posts. Before loosing interest and moving onto other things he was able to consistently take home $1,500-$1,800 per week.
