PARKED
Hi I'm Mark, I joined this forum a while back but didn't bother interacting with anybody in here cuz I was busy reading The Millionaire Fastlane and then gave up halfway.
Uh long story short I want to build a group of online businesses under a specific name and just throw my content out there, see where that brings me. Problem is, I probably won't make money until I actually focus on one and that is if I also quit my job to free up time.
I am an apprentice for software development and I kind of hate my job honestly. It's not the work, it's how I work. I spend time getting ready, commute, waste time talking to coworkers getting forced to go on short breaks dragging out the time I spend at my job.
I make less than minimum wage, obviously because I am an apprentice and I apparently don't deserve more (and that's legal too, in a first world country) OKAY STOP WHINING.
Just introducing myself with a sob story, I am trying real hard to build something outside of work hours but its getting hard doing anything when you spend more than 10 hours a day getting ready or recovering from your day job that doesn't fulfil you at all. I have no real mentionable skills besides a talent for design that won't pay the bills until I figure out a way to monetise it.
Anyone else slaving away for somebody not being able to reach your full potential? Or if you did manage to quit because of your side hustle, how did you do it? How can I speed up the process of transferring from a normal job into entrepreneurship, where you effectively learn faster and more than at a regular job?
I really want to learn but in the proper way, my job only makes things very difficult because of my weird attitude towards full time employment.
Cheers
