What do you do if you find a product that you think is a great idea, but the marketing seems to be terrible?
There is an idea I had for a product that I think would be extremely helpful in a specific niche. After some internet search...crap. It's already been done....but wait. It's been available for several years (2016) and I've never heard about it or seen one in the wild. Also after some digging it was apparently on Shark Tank and Kickstarter. The kickstarter was fully funded but went poorly with customer service and missed deliveries. I've seen a few articles here and there since then, but nothing big.
This is a small electronic device and I do not fully understand the technology behind it, so that would be a learning curve in the beginning. I'm also curious if it could be done without the electronic component, which would reduce the manufacturing cost but could keep a slightly lower sell price. The sell price right now for this device is around $90, and on Shark Tank he said it cost around $40 to make.
