I am in the product building phase right now. It is a physical product. I am creating the design of the packaging and the layout of the website all on my own. The question I am asking myself is: How to target the brand?
My product can be used in many different ways.
My competitor advertises a similar product as something you can use for a, b and c.
My approach would be: be specific, i.e., totally focuse on use a and totally focuse on one user group.
The product makes it obvious, that it can be used for a variety of fields.
For me, it is easier to be specific. It also helps with the webdesign.
I know the quote "Try to reach everybody, and you'll end up selling nobody."
What is your take on that?
Would you rather target a product to one specific customer group or try to target it to a wide range?
My idea was to target it to my main group in all full story advertisments, but also do a page about other possible uses of the product.
