Dear Members,
After multiple entrepreneurial failures I realized that a large part of that comes from the lack of technical skill. So I would like to build that.
There is a gap between what I "know" on a high level and what I can actually accomplish. To give you a sense of what I am talking about: a website does not look complicated when you look at it, but when it comes to build it, all sorts of things come up, like architecture, design, modules, backend, frontend, hosting, scaling, programming language, frameworks, how they interact, etc. I just don't really know where should I begin. If I build a small project, I am afraid that what I build and the knowledge I get in building it would be useless for an actual project that people would use over the internet in their browser. As of now I would not even know how to build a simple, clean-looking website like this (hope I can link that).
I would welcome your advice about how to build. Let us say the wider context is that I want to display graphs based on numbers with a small to medium userbase in the future, ie. hundreds to thousands. Hopefully maps too, with a level of interactivity. I also asked an LLM about this, but it did not bring me much clarity. I am looking to find a conceptual stairway or ladder to climb, ie. what should I do to have a real understanding and not just follow instructions from an LLM (which usually gets me boggled down in problems I don't know yet how to fix).
Thank you.
