Hello everyone
I'm about half-way through the book and it's made me realise how the consequences of hanging with friends for comfort and fun is not worth it.
I'm not saying friends are bad they are basically hand-picked family, but the wrong friends are. When I was 18 I had every type of friend you could think of, smart friends, funny friends, supportive friends, drinking friends, lazy friends, driven friends. You name it I had it. But over the course of these 2 and a half years I've lost connection to most of these friends.
They all started doing drugs every weekend which is their choice but it feels like they don't want a future anymore. They don't see the bigger picture and it's annoyed me because it's like they only care about partying and nothing else. I haven't met up with any of these friends in a while now. I myself got stuck in the party every weekend lifestyle for a while and it just made me miserable. I had to look at myself and realise I have potential. I just need to focus, I'm reading a lot more and trying to find out more about entrepeneurship and like minded people and I'm really happy I found this forum and this book.
The amount of absolute gold in this book is incredible and honestly has put me off the idea of ever going down the route of what my friends are doing. I wish there was more people in my area that feet like I do but I'm from a small town. But with the amazing tool that is the internet I've found people across the world who share the same interests as I do.
I guess the consequence of having these friends has actually pushed me more than ever to do more than just party. I want to build something for myself and sustain it and earn from it. This book is amazing for anyone who wants to change there perspective on life and live up to their potential.
