Hi guys,

I'm still very new here and have spent a good amount of time this weekend (sacrificing work time) to read some of the INSIDERS Gold Threads. If you haven't read them yet and are no closer to taking any definitive action I suggest you do so.

Knowing I'm very much a crowd-pleaser deep down I'm going to start this thread to keep myself accountable. I have ran a (modestly) successful copywriting/SEO/marketing business since I left university (in-between and during slowlane jobs). Can't say I've ever hustled it very hard and most jobs have come in by way of referrals/repeat business.

Anyway, I'll be focusing on that for the rest of December whilst I get my shi*t together. I also want to shout out to @Fox for his thread:

If I have learnt anything over the years it is I do my best work when my mind is focused on a routine. Looking back I was in the best shape/most productive/most positive state when I had my days planned out well in advance. So yeah, thanks buddy for the reminder. I will incorporate some of the things you mention (already do the 5am thing - it's amazing how much time you have and how un-tired you actually feel).

I am working on validating a whole bunch of ideas once I get through this current load of work. I also have a meeting with a well-known tech incubator on Thursday to pitch an idea I've had for a while.

Don't expect I'll post super-regularly here as I'm busy but look out and hopefully I see you out on the road some day.

p.s. I called this tread 'the direct path through the gateless gate' for two reasons. One, I'm an Eastern philosophy nerd. Two, realising entrepreneurship and business is a 'gateless gate' is the most important lesson you will learn here. There are no step-by-steps. No guidelines. Even courses can only take you so far. When you realise the truth about the path is that there is no path you are suddenly free to do whatever you like.

Before I get too woo-woo all of this has a lot to do with your solar plexus chakra. If you feel your stomach tighten it means you are off the path (inaction). If you feel it expand and your body flush with confidence it means you are back on the path (action). For me, this is an invaluable guide and tells me when I am not doing what should be done, for whatever reason.
