I'm coming off an 8 year career of playing online poker, which is arguably one of the most socially isolating jobs out there.
As an extrovert, I have no F*cking clue how I managed to do it for so long. I typically countered this by having roommates that also worked from home and living in areas where there tended to be a lot of guys also playing online. Now that I am trying to completely transition away from that line of work and into something more fastlane, I'm seeking a way to do it with more social interaction on a day to day basis.
I've definitely reached a tipping point with regards to how much time I'm willing to spend alone at home working in front of the computer. I am fully capable and willing to put in long hours to achieve my goals but I need to find a business model that allows me balance office time and meeting people. It's 2015, I understand that spending time in front of the computer is essential for pretty much every business but I'm not willing to isolate myself on the same level as I did previously, it's just not worth it to me.
What are some fastlane style industries/business models that provide more personal interaction?
For the current fastlane business owners out there, what % of your working day is spent in front of the computer vs otherwise?
