Hey everyone,
Hope you're doing great!
It's time I start a "progress thread", honestly, mostly for motivating myself, because somehow doing these types of threads have somehow kept me more on track then if I don't.
Hopefully I'll be inspired enough to keep posting on a semi-regular basis.
A quick blurb about myself.
In the past I've studied a great deal of online and offline marketing, and implemented a good chunk of that knowledge.
Starting out I made a lot of mistakes, and I feel like I've gotten better over the years.
I've created a couple products, one software program, and one e-book. That was before I knew anything about anything really, and those made a few bucks but ultimately failed due to inner personal mindset conflicts as well as bad execution.
But after that I did have a few mild successes and built up a couple websites and sold them for decent cash, but nothing life changing at all.
Eventually things started to "click" better and I stopped chasing money so much (like MJ says) and started focusing on a need instead.
Doing that (combined with other strategies) I've been able to build up a decent business which makes about 100k in revenue a year for about two years now.
That's awesome, and I'm really happy, and at the same time, growing it to a bigger business feels like diminishing returns at this point.
I want to take a look at starting up another thing on the side.
This time I want to have a few requirements before I start:
1.) Find the need before building a product.
2.) Have monthly reoccurring revenue built into the pricing structure.
3.) Leverage the "Law of Effection" and have a market that can effect millions of people.
4.) Go for B2B instead of B2C.
I have a few industries to target in mind, and so on Monday I'm going to start calling into them and find out who to talk to at the organization that would know what their unique business challenges would be.
Hopefully I can get some good intel, and get started on the right foot.
Nothing ventured nothing gained right?
Happy Saturday!
-Sean
