Hello fellow Fastlaners,
My name is Rayed and i'm fresh out of MJ's book. I gotta say it is really enlighting but I guess most (if not all) of you would agree.
A few words about me:
I spent half my childhood in Montreal and the rest of my life in Paris.
I'm a son of an entrepreneur as my dad created 2 companies, first in Canada, then in France.
He's a killer salesperson and has great vision in his field but he really doesn't get anything else when it comes to managing a company.
I have been to a pretty high end business school after high school and graduated 2 years ago
My road to the fast lane:
In august 2011 I started working with my parents' company as a sales rep. My dad was great at it and since I'm a lot like him I thought I'd be good too. After my first paycheck I started documenting on how to manage personnal finances properly. I've been taught by my mom the good old "save 10% of your income" but I thought there should be more about it. I found a bunch of slow lane books, some blog on how to invest on real estate.
Meanwhile my best friend who also graduated and started to work for an IT company was mulling over creating his own business. Since I know this young man, whatever he touch turns to gold (in sophmore year he created a website with automatically generated accounting exercices/ Foreign languages quizz and capital quizz and now he makes 500€/month with it). I convinced him to go for it and screw all the other advices telling him to take a full time job!
I still work for my parents' company but I'm no more sales rep. Turns out I suck at it. I'm into projects management, automatizing the business.
If you have any question, recommendation, feel free to ask.
Glad to join you guys

I also offered him to invest 5000€ for 20% of his company
I now have another opportunity, with my friend's company, to invest in another project that could generate revenue quicker than the first investment.
I still work for my parents' company but I'm no more sales rep. Turns out I suck at it. I'm into projects management, automatizing the business.
